Dr. Kirra Guard is a professor of school psychology at SUNY Oswego and school consultant. Kirra's areas of interest include academic instruction and intervention, effective assessment, data-based decision making, multi-tiered systems of support, and implementation science. Previously, she was a state technical assistance provider in New York, providing training and coaching to implementation specialists throughout the state on how to improve academic outcomes for students with disabilities. In addition to experience as a state technical assistance provider, Kirra has been a school psychologist and CSE chair in the Rochester and Syracuse areas of New York. She holds a PhD in school psychology from Lehigh University and an MA in teaching from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
