Melissa Taberski, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a nationally recognized speech-language pathologist, AAC specialist, and educational consultant with nearly two decades of experience supporting children, families, and school teams. She is the owner of Sound Speech Therapy and provides consultation, training, and Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) to school districts and families across the United States.
Melissa specializes in the assessment and treatment of complex communication needs, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), developmental language disorders, literacy difficulties, speech sound disorders, social communication challenges, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She is recognized by Apraxia Kids for Advanced Training and Clinical Expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
Her clinical and professional interests focus on the intersection of speech, language, literacy, executive functioning, and educational access. Melissa is passionate about helping multidisciplinary teams understand how communication impacts learning, behavior, social-emotional development, and academic success. As both a clinician and parent, she brings a practical, collaborative perspective to her work with students and educational teams.
