As a senior extension associate at Cornell’s Yang-Tan Institute on Employment and Disability, I serve as the Co-Director for the New York State Education Department Office of Special Education Technical Assistance Partnership for Data. Within this role and with more than 20 years working in education as a special educator, special education administrator, researcher, program evaluator, and technical assistance provider, I have engaged in training and coaching of school district personnel, conducted research on implementation of Multi-tiered Systems of Support and organizational capacity, and conducted program evaluation for state and regional implementation efforts. My background also includes training and coaching leadership teams focused on implementation of regional, district, and school wide initiatives, including skill development in data-informed decision-making, capacity building, and utilizing evaluation plans for iterative improvement to training, tools, and processes related to evidence-based practices.
