Cherliz Cohen is a doctoral student in the School-Community Psychology Psy.D. program at Hofstra University. She earned her Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, along with an advanced certificate in LGBTQ+ Health, Education, and Social Services. Cherliz has extensive experience working with K–12 and college students in both therapeutic and mentorship capacities, providing culturally responsive support across academic, emotional, and identity-related challenges. Her clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy to foster empowerment and resilience in diverse populations.
