George McCloskey, Ph.D., is a Professor and Director of School Psychology Research in the School of Professional and Applied Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and holds Diplomate status with the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology. With more than 45 years of experience in assessment, intervention, research, teaching, and test development, Dr. McCloskey has developed a comprehensive model of executive functions that guides the assessment of strengths and weaknesses and informs intervention planning. Dr. McCloskey is a frequent presenter at international, national, and state conferences and consults with school districts and private schools throughout the United States on the development of executive functions in children and adolescents. He is the lead author of Assessment and Intervention for Executive Function Difficulties, Essentials of Executive Function Assessment, and Chapter 10 of Essentials of Planning, Selecting, and Tailoring Interventions for Unique Learners. He is also the author of the McCloskey Executive Functions Scales (MEFS), published by Schoolhouse Educational Services. In collaboration with his wife, Laurie McCloskey, he co-authored the SILAS/McCloskey EF Toolkit and the children's book The Day Frankie Left His Frontal Lobes at Home.
