Heather Dahl, MA, is a New York State Certified School Psychologist who has worked in the Wappingers Central School District at John Jay High School since 2007. She earned her master’s degree in School Psychology from Marist University.
Heather currently serves as Treasurer-Elect and Publications Co-Chair for the New York Association of School Psychologists (NYASP). She has held several leadership roles within NYASP, including Student Representative for Marist University, newsletter proofreader, and Chapter K Co-Representative. She has contributed to key initiatives, including advocacy on state classification terminology, organizational policy development, and conference planning.
In her school district, Heather serves on safety, crisis, and threat-assessment teams and coordinates Link Crew, a peer-mentoring and freshman-transition program. Her professional interests include dyslexia identification and intervention, counseling, school neuropsychology, safety and threat assessment, cross-battery assessment, and anxiety disorders. She is passionate about expanding access to mental health services for children and adolescents in schools and communities.
