Heather Dahl, MA, is a New York State Certified School Psychologist who has worked in the Wappingers Central School District at John Jay High School since 2007. She earned her master’s degree in School Psychology from Marist University.

Heather currently serves as Treasurer-Elect and Publications Co-Chair for the New York Association of School Psychologists (NYASP). She has held several leadership roles within NYASP, including Chapter K Co-Representative, and has contributed to key initiatives including advocacy for state classification terminology, organizational policy development, and conference planning.

Within her school district, Heather serves on the safety, crisis, building, and district threat-assessment teams and acts as a district liaison supporting these intiatives. She is also a member of the Community Crisis Response Team, a specialized initiative managed through the Dutchess BOCES School Safety and Security Services. In addition, she coordinates Link Crew, a peer-mentoring and freshman-transition program designed to support students as they enter high school.

Heather's professional interests include school safety and threat assessment, dyslexia identification, school neuropsychology, and anxiety disorders. She is passionate about promoting school safety through trauma-informed practices and expanding access to mental health services for children and adolescents in schools and communities.
